University of Chicago Orthopedic Surgery
"A Career in Orthopedic Surgery is Within Your Reach"
*Open only to active mentees currently enrolled in the Urban Bridges Medical Mentoring pipeline Program
The OrthoReach Pipeline Program represents a robust partnership between the University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine and I Am Abel Foundation with the goal of preparing mentees for careers in Orthopaedic Surgery.
OrthoReach seeks to establish one-to-one mentorship for all participants as well as recurring cased based educational sessions that ultimately produce successful matriculation of mentees into medical school and eventually into Surgical and Orthopaedic residencies. Mentees will experience Orthopaedics through hands-on learning from splinting to casting, radiographs and more.
