Our experience in Cuba could be described in one word as 8 DAYS OF AMAZING!! Our students will be putting a video blog of their study of the Cuban Health System and will include critical analyses of the failures or successes of two health systems - Cuba and the U.S., that are worlds apart!
10 Travelers embarked on a journey from the U.S. to Cuba that surely changed our lives. A Visit to the Maternal Hospital (above) proved to be most inspiring. For the second consecutive year, Cuba ended 2018 with the lowest infant mortality rate in its history and with four fewer deaths than the previous year at 4.0 per thousand live births!!
