Health and Medicine Policy Research Group's Winner of the Medicine Award 2020, September 25, 2020.
The Health and Medicine Policy Research Group is an amazing Chicago based organization whose mission for 30 years+ has been to promote social justice and challenge inequities in health and health care. They are an independent policy center that conducts research, educates and collaborates with other groups to advocate policies and impact health systems to improve the health status of all people. Their vision is that we will one day have a society free of social inequities with a health population accessing high quality health care, delivered in comprehensive health systems by culturally competent providers. I am honored to be the recipient of HMPRG's Medicine Award 2020 for my community based work to raise our next generation of healthcare heroes!
