Summer Opportunities for Incoming Undergraduate I Am Abel Mentees
Join our intensive full-time summer preparation program running from mid-June through the end of July. Students will strengthen their knowledge in key subjects such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, and calculus using Chad’s Prep resources, building a strong foundation for upcoming fall coursework.
This structured program is designed to support success in rigorous science classes. Participants who successfully complete the program and earn an approved passing grade in their corresponding fall course will receive a full stipend.

We offer a selective summer leadership experience in Chicago designed for current U.S. medical students, particularly those entering their second year. This program is supported by a collaborative network of academic institutions, healthcare partners, and community-based organizations committed to advancing the future healthcare workforce.
Participants engage in service-driven leadership opportunities that support underserved communities, including individuals navigating reentry and populations with limited access to care. Medical students serve in mentorship and leadership roles, gaining experience in teaching, program development, and community engagement while working alongside aspiring future physicians.
The experience emphasizes leadership development, mentorship, and exposure to real-world healthcare challenges, preparing participants to become physicians equipped to serve diverse populations.
The program runs from late June through mid-August, with applications typically closing at the end of January.

We also offer a structured summer clinical immersion and mentorship program for premedical students who are typically in their second year of college or beyond and within one to three years of applying to medical school.
This program provides students with hands-on exposure to clinical environments, physician mentorship, and academic enrichment designed to strengthen their preparation for medical school. Participants are selected from established pipeline programs and demonstrate a strong commitment to service and pursuing careers in medicine.
Students receive guidance on clinical skills, professional development, and the medical school application process while participating in a supportive, cohort-based experience.
