Want to eventually return to inner city communities and use your skills to make a difference?
Apply now for our Urban Bridges's International Medical Scholars Study Abroad Program. This intense program will help exponentially improve your language skills pushing you towards language fluency and preparing you to meet the growing need of our Spanish only speaking patients. As you travel abroad, exploring other cultures and our global interconnectedness, the resulting awareness and adaptability helps to make you a better rounded individual. Medical schools often appreciate student applicants with this international experience potentially making you a more competitive applicant. Our travel abroad program is June 7 – July 24, 2019. The program will begin, however, one week prior to departure with a pre-participation orientation week. It will conclude, upon return to the U.S., with a Closing Ceremony and presentations in Spanish. Applications open September 1, 2018 and will close April 1, 2019. Scholars will be announced at the upcoming PREPARING OUR SUCCESSORS IN MEDICINE ANNUAL STUDENT GALA.College credit may be available but may require "Enrollment at Large" at one of our participating universities.
