Grab your tissue and plan to be inspired if not moved to tears as Dr Rene Roberts, Board Member and Physician Mentor of I Am Abel Foundation, shares the most Inspirational keynote address I have ever heard on resilience and purpose in medicine. Dr. Roberts gave the Keynote address to a room filled with the class of 2022 Mentees of I Am Abel Foundation alongside their physician and medical student mentors and a host of mentees, family, supporters and friends. The stunning event was held at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park where Dr Roberts shared how our failures, which feel unbearable, have purpose.
Dr Roberts is also an Executive Director of I Am Abel Foundation’s CAN-TV show Medicine Makers. She is a board certified Family Physician serving Chicago’s Southside. She also received I Am Abel Foundation, Instructor of the Year, for outstanding leadership and instruction in our Saturday Morning Professor series where she has taught and led for over 4 years
